About the Event
Join me live at the Riverway Shabbat Slowdown for: Keep Calm and Kvell On! Understanding Trauma for Anxious Jews
If you’ve been wondering how your Jewish ancestry might be shaping your reactions to current events, this workshop is for you. Together, we’ll name and explore the trauma and ripple effects of October 7th, as well as the rise in antisemitic incidents. We’ll also create space to acknowledge the pain connected to your Jewish identity, including ancestral trauma and personal experiences of antisemitism. In a supportive and non-judgmental environment, you’ll be invited to share your experiences and feel truly seen. You’ll learn about the biology of intergenerational trauma and how “weird,” anxious or shut-down behaviors can be primal protective responses. Through guided exercises and practical tools, you’ll discover ways to reground and work with your body to feel more calm and in control.
